Hi Erin. I thoroughly enjoyed your open bar 142 appearance, with Critical Drinker, Snarky Jay, etc. and watched the entire broadcast. I did leave a comment in your youtube AI Spoiler Review – Mission Impossible Spoiler Review what happened with the AI entity. It is in regard to if critical drinker would like to review a film I recommend. I did notice that he will sometimes review Classic or Retro reviews of famous or perhaps little known films. What I wrote is somewhat long I know, I just type so fast I get carried away sometimes. If you would like to pass that on to him, as he is very hard to reach, with so many fans. It is just a suggestion. It is fine if he decides not to review it or if you don’t want to pass on my suggestion to him. I appreciate your time. Thank you.

  2. Hi David, thanks for letting me know that you left a comment. I don’t see it there, which is strange since I don’t have aggressive settings on my comments to block people. I checked with Drinker, and he’s so backed up right now on projects that he don’t have time to take on anything new at this point. But he did thank you for thinking of him.

Also, thanks for the nice comments about the show the Snarky Jay and I were on together. It was a fun one! 🙂

Hello Erin, I appreciate the reply back. You are very welcome. Also thank you as well. Also in regard to your help in contacting the Critical Drinker about my suggestion. I can understand how busy he is since I know what he is working on currently. So he does have to pick and choose what to review. I know his real name but won’t say it here. That is strange as I can view the youtube post from my end. I’m not sure why it would have been flagged by youtube since I did not say anything controversial, inflammatory, insulting, wrong, etc. Well I guess I will say it here then. It is called zpg or zero population growth. A few years ago they came out with a remastered dvd with an extra commentary available from a film critic. What is interesting about the film is that the primary four characters are basically living within a 1970s type museum. With clothing and home furnishings from the early 1970s time period, when the film was produced. When they are not play acting in these homes, they return to wearing the standard uniforms everyone else is wearing in the future. They also have somewhat of a higher standard of living I believe from the rest of the population. Based upon what they could buy, etc. Also there are signs in the home with blocked off rope for the people to read while viewing them inside these homes when the museum is open. The film does make it clear that people have been cured of all diseases, which extends the life of everyone. This is the reason for the overpopulation basically. So they institute a harsh thirty year ban on child birth. So those who want a real child are forced to adopt robot babies and then move on to children in various stages of development. Inserting a computer chip for personality, emotion, etc. The film stars Oliver Reed who famously perished while making the Gladiator film, and where they had to resort to cgi effects for some of his scenes. This was the first time I had heard of him. He got into a drinking competition with sailors while filming overseas after drinking all his life. Anyway, he had quit but was goaded into this and that was what led to his demise. Apparently he was a huge popular actor in the united kingdom in particular. The film also stars the actor don gordon. Also two other famous actresses were in it as well. They are geraldine chaplin and diane cilento. If you would like to buy it on amazon, it would be the dvd cover that has the appearance of a dome hovering over people on the bottom, about to cover up the two primary characters holding a baby. I recommend typing this exactly to find it. zpg zero population growth dvd. If you would be interested in viewing it. I think you would need to like science fiction, the future, environmental destruction type topics, population growth, interesting future technology as perceived from that time period, etc. I think if you enjoy those films from the early 1970s then you would like this as well. Although there are some slow along with contemplative scenes compared to a popular huge film you would view today. Perhaps you could also do a retroactive review of this classic film if you are interested. I could say more about it but I’ll leave it at that. I did also suggest this to another youtube film reviewer. I had to pay fifteen dollars for him to review it. You can find it on youtube. I won’t say his name here though. Although he did like it. I have seen youtube interviews with oliver reed on talk shows, etc. He is quite a character. It is a shame about his drinking problem since he was clearly drunk in some of these youtube interviews he did with talk show hosts, etc. Although I think every actress and actor in this film did a really great performance. So I don’t want to say it was just him who did an excellent job acting in it. They all did great.
